Question 3: Is copying always plagiarism or is there a gray area? Explain your thoughts.
My thoughts have not changed from the beginning of the year about "copying" other people's art. In the beginning of the year my answer to this question was "I believe you should get an idea from somewhere and be inspired." And my most recent answer was similar to the earlier one which is "copying is not always plagiarism, at least not in art, because you can take your own spin to it." Mr. Sands taught us that it is okay to for artists to "steal" art from other artists as long as we do our own thing and make changes to the artwork that we are "copying." We even did a unit in art class about this topic called Artists Steal.
