For my artists solve problems project you had to have a limitation. My limitation is making a picture out of words. The picture I am making out of words is a picture of me and my friend Anna and the words building the picture are going to be our text messages.
Our group made a system of movements out of the drop of a ball. Our limitation is setting up things to complete the task at the end. At the end we had to pop a balloon.
Our system of movements was... 1.drop tennis ball down the tube 2. tennis ball knocks over the water bottle on top of the string 3. the string is pulled down by the weight at the top of the ceiling 4. the tack at the end of the weight falls and pops the balloon WE went on an art website where they post a word every week and you make some piece of art that you think of when they mention that word. This weeks word was octopus so the thing that I think of when I hear octopus is... octopus and the number 8. So I put two octopi together to make the number 8 and shaded black around it.
For this project I took candy to make things like a tree, umbrella, and rain. I also incorporated the old tootsie pop commercial with my artwork and I even used real skittles for some of the rain!
Q: Whats the difference between copying and stealing?
A: Stealing is when you take someones artwork and put your own spin to it... Copying is when you take someones art and don't re-do it in your own way. Q: Did you consider how ideas would work before you tried them?
